On 04.09. at the Youth Center Dupnitsa, the meeting “Meeting for Ecology” was held!
We were very happy to welcome as our special guest Eli Podgorska – Director of the Directorate “Environment and Transport”. We thank her for accepting our invitation and taking the time to meet with the youth and share her knowledge and experience.
During the meeting, we discussed important topics related to nature, ecology and environmental protection. We talked about the newly opened landfill in the village of Dzherman, about where the waste goes and how it is sorted and recycled.
We also discussed the animal shelter in Dupnitsa. Eli Podgorska suggested that we organize a visit to both the landfill and the shelter so that the youth could get to know their work up close and learn more about animal care and a responsible attitude towards the environment.
We also learned more about the importance of proper waste separation – paper, plastic, glass and metal should be placed in the designated containers. Small actions from each of us can contribute to a cleaner and greener Dupnitsa.
